My passion
My passion for a long time has always been tattoo, drawing, painting. I love to do this and I can't live without it. Once someone asked me when did I have done my first tattoo? My answer is always the same — the doctor threw me a tattoo machine the day I was born, and so it was… This curse of mine has gone on for decades.
I am an unconventional lunatic — for some, I am an antisocial freak of human skin. A graduate of a public Kindergarten in Szczecin and many schools from which I was excluded for eternal oblivion, I was always bunking off school. After graduating, I was obliged to complete my education, which took me a few more years. I did many different things such as gardening, bricklaying, and painting, all while going to concerts and drinking beer.
Why Skinhead? Many believe that this movement is full of scum and drunks, etc. My approach, as well as that of many of my friends, is a little different from the skinhead picture portrayed in the media and the press.
I believe that we are people who have their own honor and pride. We take care of our cultural and ethnic affiliation and differences. People say that we are racists. If you think that it's racist to love our national pride and culture and respect our ancestors and not forget who they were, then that's your problem, not ours. I respect every human being and their culture, but I disagree with what some politicians and political parties do to our country. So, after all this, are we racist? And it is well known that we will always want to improve the existence of our country and Europe.
Hygiene
If you've already decided to get a tattoo, here are a few important things you should remember. Most of all, before you enter a tattoo studio, make sure the artist has good technical and artistic skills.
If you can't evaluate the work directly on the skin, try at least to see photos of the artist's work. When looking at photos of finished work (often mistaken for sketches), check whether the style matches what you are expecting.
In the studio, remember to check how clean it is in general and how clean the place where the work is being done:
- Whether the materials are sterile and disposable.
- Whether the artist wears surgical gloves during the procedure.
- Whether the artist carries out periodic health tests.
- What happens to the needles when they are disposed of.
- What type of tattoo machine and equipment is being used.
- Whether the equipment used is adequately protected against accidental contact.
- Whether the artist changes the needle after each previous procedure.
- How long the artist has been doing tattoos.
The pleasure and joy of having your tattoo can be ruined if it gets infected, which most often results from failing to comply with the basic rules that every reputable artist follows:
- Artist not wearing gloves during and right after the tattoo.
- Eating or drinking in the studio while the artist is working.
- Not having the tattoo area correctly cleaned.
- Equipment used during the procedure not being adequately protected against accidental contact.
- Not changing the needle after the previous job.
- Not changing the tubes after the previous procedure.
Choose your tattoo very carefully and consider those points.
Remember, if you have low immunity or are immunocompromised, your skin might not heal as well — you should consult your doctor first. You have to be fit and healthy to get a tattoo. Once you've decided on the design, choose the size and the right time to get it done.
Here are some tips:
- Be well rested and have had a good night's sleep.
- Eat a proper meal beforehand to help you relax.
- Drink water and soft drinks or cordial.
- Take care of personal cleanliness and hygiene, and wear clean clothes.
- Do not come in if you have any skin complications or irritations.
It is worth knowing what to do after you have a tattoo.
